Carbon Iceland and Norðurál agree to evaluate the feasibility of capturing emissions at Norðurál’s site at Grundartangi

Norðurál, a Century Aluminum Company, and Carbon Iceland have signed an agreement to evaluate the feasibility of capturing emissions at Norðurál’s site at Grundartangi. By applying a proven technology, the first step is to evaluate how to fit that technology with Norðurál’s smelter at Grundartangi. The evaluation should give a clear map how to draw a plan towards a full capturing facility at the site.
