Hal Oskarsson and Christiaan P. Richter, the CEO and CTO of Carbon Iceland, published today an article in Iceland’s leading newspaper, Morgunblaðið, where they discuss the importance on supporting energy for eFuels instead of allocating a large capacity of energy to other pathways, such as to data centers and data mining which don’t count in ESR credits. Conveying renewable energy to categories that don’t have any GHG-impact for Iceland is very negative in regard with international agreements that the Government of Iceland has signed in the past. The article is only available in Icelandic.
